When products have different sizes, weights, volumes, discounts, or package quantities, the lowest shelf price is not always the best deal. This app lets you enter each item's price and unit details, then calculates the comparable unit price clearly.

How it works

1. Add the products you want to compare.

Your entered comparison data is stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not upload your entered price comparison data to our own server.

Summary

Price Compare is a local price comparison app. The app lets users enter prices, units, discounts, quantities, and unit types to compare unit prices.

The price comparison data entered into the app is processed on the user's device. We do not operate a backend server for this app and we do not upload user-entered price comparison data to our own server.

Android permissions

The app currently requests or receives the following Android permissions in the merged application manifest. Some permissions are declared directly by the app, and some are added by third-party SDKs used by the app.

The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, SMS read/send, call log, precise location, approximate location, external storage read/write, or account-login permissions.

Data entered by users

The following data may be entered by users and stored locally on the device:

• Prices.
• Units and unit labels.
• Discount percentages.
• Quantities.
• Unit group selection such as kg/g, L/mL, or Other.
• App preferences such as showing or hiding total price.
• Local purchase entitlement flag indicating whether ads should be hidden.

This data is used only to provide the app's price comparison features and restore previous input when the app is reopened. This data is stored locally using Android SharedPreferences. We do not transmit this data to our own server.

Advertising, consent, and third-party SDKs

The app uses third-party SDKs and services for advertising, consent management, and in-app purchases:

• Google AdMob and Google Mobile Ads SDK for banner ads and ad measurement.
• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for privacy consent management.
• Start.io AdMob mediation adapter for advertising mediation when configured through AdMob.
• Google Play Billing for the one-time in-app purchase remove_ads.

Google AdMob, Google Mobile Ads SDK, mediation partners, and related SDKs may collect or process data such as:

• IP address.
• Device information such as device model, operating system, language, and screen information.
• App information such as package name, app version, and SDK version.
• Ad interactions such as ad requests, impressions, clicks, performance events, and mediation events.
• Approximate location inferred from IP address.

This data may be used by Google and advertising partners for showing ads, measuring ad performance, fraud prevention, security, abuse prevention, frequency capping, ad personalization where permitted by consent and settings, and compliance with legal and policy requirements.

Consent management

The app uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage user consent where required by applicable privacy laws and Google policies. Consent choices may be stored locally on the device and/or processed by Google SDKs so that ad requests can respect the user's privacy choices.

In-app purchases

The app uses Google Play Billing to provide a one-time in-app product:

• Product ID: remove_ads.
• Purpose: remove ads from the app.

Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not directly collect, receive, store, or process payment card details, billing addresses, or other payment information. The app may store a local entitlement flag that indicates whether ads should be hidden. Google Play may retain purchase records according to Google's policies and legal obligations.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not share user-entered price comparison data with our own server because we do not operate one for this app.

Data may be shared with or processed by Google and advertising mediation partners through the SDKs and services described above for advertising, consent management, purchase processing, purchase restoration, measurement, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and compliance.

Security

The app stores user-entered comparison data locally on the device using Android SharedPreferences. Network communication by third-party SDKs is handled by those SDKs and their service providers. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit our own data handling by not operating a backend server for user-entered price comparison data.

Data retention

• Local price comparison data is stored on the device until the user clears it in the app, resets app data, or uninstalls the app.
• Local app preferences are stored on the device until reset or uninstall.
• The local ads-removed entitlement flag is stored on the device to hide ads after purchase. The app may query Google Play Billing again to restore purchase status.
• Google AdMob, UMP, Google Play Billing, Start.io mediation, and related SDK data are retained by their respective providers according to their policies, user settings, legal requirements, and service-specific retention rules.

Data deletion policy

This app does not require account creation and does not provide an in-app account system.

Users can delete local app data in the following ways:

• Use the app's "Clear all" function to clear entered comparison values.
• Use Android system settings to clear the app's storage/data.
• Uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device.

Because we do not operate a backend server for this app, we do not store a server-side copy of user-entered price comparison data.

For Google-managed or partner-managed data, users should use Android device privacy settings, Google account/ad settings, Google Play tools, and applicable third-party privacy tools where available. Google Play purchase records may be retained by Google for legal, tax, fraud prevention, refund, and transaction record purposes.
